On our recent trip south we made a point of stopping at Bryce Canyon for the night and were greeted by this beautiful sunrise the following morning. While I like the photo, it doesn't begin to accurately reproduce what we actually saw. Incredible comes to mind.

I hope you enjoy the sunrise, and as always, all comments are appreciated.

I love it! Not a typical Bryce perspective, but def a Utah sunrise/sunset! Nice work.

Awesome sky! Sadly, since the Bryce Canyon landscape isn't depicted it's a shot that could have been taken anywhere. Even if only a silhouette, it would be especially nice to see some landscape forms more prominently in the shot. Super great color though! :)

Thank you Karin and David W. . .for other shots I used a very knarled tree at this location, but they did not come out as well. I decided to move and use this tree instead.

Thanks David A. . .I would have loved to have a silhouette of something that really showed Bryce Canyon in the shot, but when you're moving a motorhome its not all that easy to do, so I did the best I could under the circumstances. I should have gotten my butt up earlier so I could have been in the park. . .but it was way to comfortable and warm inside the motorhome!

The colors really were outstanding.

Not bad, but I think the tree is too close to the edge of the frame. Especially if you ever do any canvas prints you can't wrap that. Nice sky. Nothing says Bryce though.

Thanks Numenorean. . .I couldn't change my location or the trees, so that is why the tree is where it's at. And it's not going to be printed on wraped canvas so I guess the location is a mute point.

We could always change the name to just Sunrise to eliminate the concern over there not being anything actually letting folks know it was taken at Bryce. Because of the lack of anything Bryce in the shot, I was trying to let folks know where it was taken. . .thats all.

Steve

You couldn't physically turn your camera slightly to the left???

Sure I could have. . .but then I would have had a wall of structure in the shot, and I made the decision that I didn't want that in the photo.

Maybe you should find a better place to shoot then.
