You have more flexibility when shooting RAW.

i did not mean for this to come off offensive or attacking in anyway. just wanted to say i understand lighting is key but when i was posting i was just trying to further explain my question...i see where it was taken offensively but that was never my intent.

@alexander...: so if i shoot RAW technically my photos will be better, considering im not a pro? basically im trying to say in RAW you can change everything to perfection if its not perfect while with JPEG it is what it is...?

@VLAD: i love the set man, especially the last image! and the other of her sitting down with her right leg farther stretched to the right!

Nothing offensive at all! ;)
If english isn't your first language you're doing a mighty good job so far.

RAW will allow you to make the photo look better but isn't the be all and end all. Getting your exposure right in-camera is what you want to acheive first.

An example of someone who get's it right in camera and does few, if any, adjustments would be Jasmine Star. Check out her blog here....http://www.jasminestarblog.com/ (external link)

first time ever shooting in RAW and i dont know why i havent done this sooner. i was always afraid it would be to hard to figure out but WOW it is just as easy as JPEG if not easier to edit.

I couldn't resist it any longer. I got my first prime lens today :D Seems very good for the price, I don't care about the purple fringing when I get USM and F1.8 at this focal lenght. Now it's time to go outside and shoot.

OK, i was reading/worry about the purple fringing problem, but I pulled the trigger anyway.
I hope it's NOT too long (7d) for my needs.
I hate this forums... (you know what i mean)... :)
