Nothing special, but I haven't used this lens in a while before tonight and I haven't posted in here for quite some time...

Nothing special but if I don't share, these type shots will just sit and rot on my HD. This lens is so sharp and makes lovely photos but it is taking some practice to avoid the purple issues when shooting in the sun.

Just got mine yesterday. :D AF is quite fast, maybe, this will be my lens in practicing sports photography. Not sure if it is soft wide-open? Noticeable purple fringe too in highlights.

can anyone tell me how well the "lens corrections" preset set to auto for this lens in lightroom 3? it does rather well for other lenses i've tried and the examples in my kelby books but obviously due to copy variation in lenses this feature isnt going to work well with all lenses/copies. if the lens correction preset works well for this lens i think i'll save the cash i been lusting to spend on the sigma 1.4 version. i dont mind the 1.8 or iq of the canon version i just dont want to have to constantly worry about weather or not a certain composition is going to give me tons of ca because i got my 85 1.8 mounted. that and i suck at PP anyway so its to the point that i shoot every day but rarely edit besides examples while im studying and learning more pp skills. so the last thing i want to do is add an extra segment to my workload.

anyone????

Nothing to see here....
