im thinking of selling my 85mm to buy a 100mm 2.0 usm, any thoughts?

Yes, why? You gain a very tiny bit of range and lose 1/3 f-stop. The range you can make up by taking a step forward. The speed is not as easily regained.

because i have alot of problems with CA on the 85, and i want a little bit more reach, and i have heard nothing but great things about the 100 2.0, i am also considering the 2.8 macro because of the macro

:lol: I was going to say the same thing when I posted it. But seriously CA only takes half a minute to deal with in post. Small price to pay for such a great lens otherwise!

actually, i have taken many pictures that i cant fix CA / purple fringing in lightroom, i can reduce it but not completely remove it

If I didn't have just the 5D2/85 on me then I wouldn't have had to walk so far to get a photo of Clevedon Pier in lovely, warm autumn sun..... :)
