I just got the 85mm and I must say I am very happy with the results. Took this on a recent zoo trip.

Just got it out of the box, I think I may have given this ant a close shave with the razor thin DOF.

I'm not sure how that happened, I could post the original but it won't show much, other than a little less contrast and no color curve adjustment.

I was just agreeing with you in my own weird way. I could see how it could happen if I had rotated the image but that's not the case. It does seem odd.
