Just bought this lens. Obviously I wanted the 85L but at this point the price difference is too much. Needed something to fall in between my 35L and 135L and while the L would have looked fantastic after the 85...the samples provided from this lens look great (read: amazing for the price)!

Should have it next week.

I want to upgrade too, but have a very hard time justifying the difference. It's almost impossible because this thing is a real bargain. The extra DOF control is the only thing that makes me consider it.

I have used the 85L, I found myself stopping down to 1.8 or 2.8 with it anyway, so for now, I can't justify that huge price increase.

Thanks for the edit, I was actually curious what that would look like but have to say I'm leaning towards the cool/warm mix. I like the way the warm light bounced onto the subject.
