Which one?

So it's been a while since I posted on here but I wanted to get your opinions on a processing style. I know processing is a subjective matter, but I'd really like to get your take on it.

I always find myself asking a different set of eyes what they think of a photo I'm working on. Well today one liked #1 and another liked #2 so I'm here to hopefully settle the score. Which do you prefer, #1 or #2?

I like the first one, but can't tell much difference - I think it would be better if you straightened the horizon.

I like the second one as the first has haze from the sun shining into the lens, but no sun.

Its hard to focus on the processing with the horizon issue and the need to crop the foreground. I think k like 2 but its hard to concentrate in the differences.

I see only slight differences. I'd choose #1 because it shows more contour in the white areas (hats, dog); in #2, more or larger spots look blown out. The WB is too blue in both. I'd crop on both sides and the bottom. The slanted horizon doesn't bother me, as I assumed it was a hillside.

It's a subtle difference between the two. I washed out the mid-tones a bit in the first to give it a more "stylized" feel...almost VSCO-like. Regarding the cooler WB, that was intentional. Do you feel it went a bit too cool?

Yes. I see no point in the tilt. It draws attention away from the subject. Its not as if this subject benefits from an edgy framing and tilt. The crop also bothers me as that btight yellow grass up front also draws attention away from the subjects.

Yes, because parts of the subject are clearly meant to be white. It may be my computer, but there are easily visible light blue areas in the hat trim and the dog's fur.

I prefer #2 but her teeth are popping out at me
And straighten the horizon of course

I completely agree with this.

Tilt can have a place. Just not here.

#1 for me

I like 2 as the pooch is a bit crisper on my iPad st least.
