Hello,
Yesterday I disassembled my Canon 50D in term to clean shutter button contact.
After I assembled it back I figured out that some AF points LED are illuminated constantly (4 of them). It doesn't affect focusing which is fine.
Also, I noticed even biggest problem and it is that light meter system is totally messed up. Actually now my meter gives totally underexposed images
Anybody has similar experiences ?
Anybody know where are located AF point LEDs inside 50D body so I can check is everything in place where it should be ?
Thanks people ....

If the LEDs are on all the time they'll fool the exposure meter, so that's probably the cause and effect you see.
I've not taken that camera apart, so I don't know what you assembled wrong.

Thank you for respond.
That's exactly what I suspected too.
Today I will open my camera again and hopefully find out what is wrong
I think I should look at top part of camera, near the eye piece.

Well,
I just disassembled my camera and located AF points LED module on top of camera body. Unfortunately, I did not see anything unusual. I cleaned some contacts and isolated this module and unfortunately everything remain same ... :(
When I try to adjust exposure in Manual mode my 50D indicated correct exposure at 1/8000 s and f/1.8 which is nonsense !!
I am desperate .

Good news ... i solved "mystery" !!
I know there were no many answers at this topic, but I want to inform what caused my problem. Maybe someone can benefit from this.
After I disassembled top part of my Canon 50D I should release clip that hold one flat cable in place. However, I released clip of another one flat cable in adjacency, and I forget to click that clip after I assembled my camera back.
All I needed to do is just to click that clip and everything work perfect again, because that cable leads direct to LED's panel at top of the camera.
I am happy again :)

Congrats on the fix! Hate having to pound my head in the wall, but good when you find and fix the problem.

Godox/Flashpoint r2 system, plus some canon stuff.

Yes, congratulations on being able to fix it...

However, it's sort of a cautionary tale about why most people who untrained in camera repair really shouldn't disassemble their cameras trying to do it themselves! Especially since you can clean the shutter release switch without having to disassemble the camera. There is a lot of stuff in there that's easily messed up with the wrong techniques or incorrect procedures. Too many cameras end up as paper weights when folks try a DIY fix!

Believe me, I am very experienced about electronics because I am involved in it for about 20 years, but this is thing that can happen to anyone. I just missed one step while assembling that is obvious.
About alternative shutter cleaning method. I also tried procedure with alcohol and it worked for 20-30 days, and then back to same old story.
So I decided to open my camera and do it right way. Now I think, I did great job. Color of button contacts were totally changed after I cleared them, because they were totally oxidized. Right now it works perfect.
Extra joy is that today I became owner of Canon 17-55 IS lens :)
At the end, sorry for my bad English

Glad the fix worked . . . in the end! :D And a new lens is always fun.

Please don't apologise for your English; I understood you perfectly ~ better than, in some instances, many native English speakers around here.
