I have a job query that involves a start up clothing company that wants to sell product on amazon. They have some shirts that would need a model for. I am out of touch on what the going rate is to pay a model for commercial usage. These would be standard portraits to full body shots on white seemless. Nothing exciting, just modeling the clothing product.

Any tips on model cost?

Thanks

Where I live, the agencies will provide a model for fashion for $75/hour. A non-agency girl can be had for $50/hour. In one case I had a clothing company offer $25/hour, but the girls got to keep the outfits they modeled.

Generally when I need a model, I like to pay $50/hour for a seasoned model that I don't have to "teach" to model. Anything less than that they are likely to flake or just have no experience and cause you more grief than they are worth.

hope this helps

Thanks! Yes it does help. I was thinking $100 for around 2 hours so that is in the ballpark.

wow, Canada is cheap... but you do have a stronger dollar... the clothing companies i shoot for on the cheap end pay $50/hour with a 4 hour minimum, average agency rate is $187.50/hour with 3 hour minimum, and average non agency at $75/hour with 4 hour minimum...
