Howdy all,
I'm planning on going to the Nellis Air Show this year. I looked on the site and it says small camera bags are allowed. Is a backpack for cameras going to be a problem? also i plan on bringing my Canon 500mm F4. Is there going to be an issue bringing it in its case?

Thanks!

Large lenses have been an issue for POTN members in the past. Be friendly had hope the Security Forces at your entrance gate will let you in.
Check this site for official rules and print it out to bring with you in case there is disagreement, there is no actual measurement specified so up to interpretation.

Too late for my response but I saw a quite a few people shooting with long lenses. Looks like it all depends on the size of the bag you're carrying it in. If you carry the bare lens, security didn't care.

I was at Nellis in November. It was awesome wasn't it?
I took my gear in a small back pack . But some folk had pull along trolleys.
