The more I look at them all, the more I really don't like them, I mean I do but I was all over the place. Like this one I really didn't striaghten the matt and the black thread is not striaght. I think I'm going to mess around this Saturday, and see what I come up with. I wish, however I still had a marco, lens.

I get where you are going with these pictures. I would use the chop sticks as a lead in to the picture and have the bowl in the first shot the destination. Just turn the chop sticks to run with the depth of shot one on the left side of the bowl and increase the DOF a bit.

I was wondering if this makes a good stock photo, not to sure about the flower in the bowl, I'll post both of them. Let me know what you think.

Very creative, these are both great concepts however the slightly out of focus backgrounds draw the users eye their first because of their color. Try using a more neutral background to make the chop sticks “pop out” and draw the user’s attention to them as, the main focal point.

Mike your work generated a great response.

That in itself is praise - even if some sounds critisisim

Look forward to more work on show

Thanks Charnat!! I was just bored, and wanted to start shooting more at home. You ever feel like why even bother picking up a camera? I mean sometimes I feel like I really truely suck.

sounds like an artist's quandary, I think this is what makes us strive for perfection.

The first shot is very nice. I can see it hanging on the wall in a sushie bar. I would like to see the same shot with a long dof (just to compare). More importantly, I think the image would look better if the petals were not cut off at the top.
