Why not, when you're used to having everyone kiss your ring wherever you go?

The cops are right. While you are allowed to take pics, the staff was within their rights to ask, even demand that pictures weren't taken, they just couldn't enforce it.

They also couldn't threaten, intimidate, or otherwise harass people. Beyond asking them to step back to a reasonable distance from the booked practice area there isn't much they could have done within the law there.
