Not the best quality i'm afraid, as i wasn't planning on birding, so didn't have the 400 with me.. Doh! This was taken with a 135mm + 1.4x extender. Very heavily cropped.

Beautiful photo. I love watching our version in the U.S., the American Dipper, swimming and diving for food. Yours is a quite beautiful species.

Thanks guys.. They're fascinating birds to watch, and surprisingly tolerant of people. I haven't seen the American Dipper, so will go and google that now.. ;)

I'll definitely be making a trip back there, specifically to watch and photograph (of course haha) this Dipper again.

I think it is a lovely shot. You have captured the environment very well.

Scott a nice habitat despite the crop shot. Since you have checked image editing OK I would suggest cropping somewhat like this to reduce the eye-catching foreground water and bringing more interest to the bird itself.

Thanks Stephen, the only reason I haven't cropped more, is that I'm not far off 100% already. Your crop will put me at, or over, 100%. ;)
