All ... looking for a "small" or "medium" sized octobox that would work with a speed light. What options do I have? I'm looking for the best quality/build as possible. Thank you!

Hi, Define small & Medium - and critically must there be a Grid available? - & must it be strictly Octo?-

but the Aurura Firefly 65cm looks good,
the Rime // SMDV // Glow Hexa boxes are good & lightweight - I have the 50cm
& the Phottix Octas are good - Bowen S mount only fits a single speedlite - I have the Luna 70 & 110cm (no grids).

I'm loving the Profoto Octa's - with a speedlite adapter that holds two flashes, dual diffuser and reasonable cost for grid :-)

Wow! That's an interesting setup. Please tell me more. Does Profoto make this speedlite adapter, or is it third party? I've always wondered if I could use Profoto equipment with speedlights, and I guess the answer is yes.

What other accessories are required to make this setup work? I'm quite interested!

It really depends on how you envisage using it. I would certainly say the Profoto solution isn’t the lightest out there. So if you’re looking for something handheld on a pole for running about with, I’d say go with the lighter ‘umbrella’ style solutions.

I’m using the Profoto RFi Speedlight Adapter - which will attach to all other RFi modifiers. It’s very well built (quite heavy). They have 3, 4 and 5' Octa options. I was looking to move over from Elinchrom due to the (IMHO) expensive Lighttools grids (and for the B1’s).
Not the cheapest by any means, but you can get adapters for most Light manufacturers.

A solid investment.

Same here, I´m also using the Profoto double Speedring attached with two Godox Witstro 360 flashes and a 3`Octa.
With an additional Speedring I can attache same RFI Modifiers to my studio strobes.
The 3´Octa worked very well for this season and I think it will last the next years (which I wouldn`t attest my former Elinchrom Deep Octa).

Tobias

I'm using LumoPro bracket (external link). It works with a standard speedring.

Westcott Apollo Orb...is great,
For me...the Photek Softliner II 60''or the 46'' are off the chart, fantastic.
Just my 2 cents
