I took this photo this morning with my new 7D Mark II. The image is not the greatest but I was only really looking to test the ISO capacity of the camera.

Unfortunately the card malfunctioned somehow and my computer would not download the images so I had to run an image recovery program and then convert the recovered RAW files to JPEGs manually.

Full frame resized with minor brightness and contrast adjustments and a little sharpening. No noise reduction!I took this photo this morning with my new 7D Mark II.

* Follow-up the card is still working fine when placed back in the camera.

Just to keep everyone in the loop.

I re-inserted the card into the camera and I could preview all the images with no problem. So I decided to try and download the images directly from the camera using the EOS utility and things appears to be working smoothly at the moment.

Even though that Mark II manual says that you can download images using a card reader (which I normally do) I'm guessing that somehow the new Mark II compatible Canon software that I installed did not properly tell my PC how to identify the Mark II Raw files.

A total of 554 images downloaded and I can now adjust them using Canon Digital Photo Professional but not by Photoshop CS6 or Lightroom 5.6. I expect (hope) that Adobe will provide support for the Mark II soon.

Will keep you posted.

Very nice.

You can use DPP and convert the shots you wish to keep by converting to TIFF and then processing in PS or LR. Just zero out the settings in DPP. You can set DPP to start at zero NR in preferences.

You can open the files manager and read ghe card as a hard drive, thrn copy and paste into a folder if you need to. Then import them into your software when its updated.

I'm impressed looking at the white tuffs of furs inside the ears. Great job!
