I just read this article/tutorial this afternoon, and started trying it with my "old" G9. So far, I'm impressed with the initial results I've tried. I won't be posting any images yet, but I do recommend you read it and see what kind of results you get with your G series models. It's summed up for me to use ETTR for the camera exposure, and then ETTL for the "development" of the RAW files. I've been trying EV's of +2.0 to +1.5, depending on the situation. I've also been trying ISOs 200, 400, and 800, with much improved results from my past experiences. I've been using just one exposure with spot metering in P mode, not multi-shot, multi-zone exposures.
