We are really trying to ramp up the quality of our work this offseason, so any feedback is very much appreciated. Don't feel like you have to hold anything back or be polite. I'm looking for grow and won't take offense at any suggestions.

Also, if you have any recommendations for edu material please let me know. The two courses/workshops we have taken up to this point are Stillmotions KNOW filmmaking DVD/guide and Rob Adam's creativelive course on wedding cinematography. I've heard Ray Roman's wedding course on creativelive is also great, but I have yet to purchase it.

Here are our two latest films. The first is a highlight film and the second a same day edit.

First off, great job on both video's!

In the first video, the wind was getting the better of your microphone a little bit when the bride and groom were outside reading their letters to each other. Also, at the 2:52 mark the group is in focus, then out of focus, then in focus again. I'm not sure if that was done on purpose or not, but it seemed like it was just a bit off if it was done on purpose.

In the second video, about 7 seconds in, it seems like the groom blew your audio into the red zone for a second. Also, one thing I liked that I don't think you did enough of was, at the gun range you had the music going in the background and one of the guys talking. That was absolutely fantastic. However, that was pretty much the end of that! It could have been more powerful if you did that a couple of more times, e.g. when the bride and groom were getting ready. You could see people smiling / laughing etc.. when the bride was getting ready and you saw the groom say something in front of the mirror etc.. but none of that was heard. I'm not saying it had to be as long as the gun range talking, even a couple of seconds of sound during each scene could have added to the video.

My .02 anyways. Keep making awesome videos! Best wishes!

I think both were very good. The ending on the second one didn't quite flow right for me. It went from the swinging hug quickly to a very fast tilt on another scene. I didn't think that quite worked and would have left it with the hug. That's just me, though. I think they were really well done.
