Hello all -

I am trying LR 5.6, Raw 8.6 version and getting "Preview unavailable for this file" error on raw files from the 7D Mark ii when trying to import files. No updates available as of now (2-Nov 0112 UTC)

Anyone seeing same error?

I was hoping with creative cloud subscription that Adobe would have been ready for this new camera to hit the market. Maybe it is my user error.

Thanks .

Greg B

It took at least one month for adobe to release an update for my raw images from my 70D.

I would assume at lest another few weeks.

No, LR5 will not import the 7D2 raw files.

I have been using DPP 4.1 to bulk convert to TIFF and the processing the TIFF files in LR. PITA, but better than nothing.

The only other option for now is to shoot jpeg until the update. Shoot both, so you have the raw files later.

They usually update the DNG converter pretty quickly so that should be an option soon.

Thanks. I was thinking about this as i went to sleep, but was too tired to post it.

It will be another 6 months before windows will recognizes them. This includes photo viewer and file icon previews. Last update was June/July.
