Impressive, I tried to do this once myself... I failed miserably. It moves so quickly across the sky!

Thanks Ron
Scope is 600mm ED80
I also set camera to rapid shots. I'm also surprised I froze it with no motion blur.

ISS is a fast moving, small dim subject.
Finding her during time that she is shining (Bright - Reflecting light to earth) is equally difficult.
You did very well.

Thanks guys
Yes it's 100% crop. The ISS is 300km up plus angular distance maybe 400km from me.
It's just a point of light in the full shot

How cool would it be if you captured a shot of the shuttle docking or undocking with the space station?

Cool? Sure.
But variables are so great that it is next to imposible.

The best (Definitely one of the kind and unique) image I have ever seen is here in thisTHREAD

LINK

post number 78 (You need to scroll down midway in that thread) when the majestic Endeavour (Ahhhhh and big sigh) had randevĂș with ISS.

Thanks guys
thanks samsen. that link just made me sad. Shuttle launches/missions were something I looked fwd to from the 1st launch I watched live with John Young and Bob Crippen to the last. Why have we stepped backwards to the SSL which is a Grandchild of Apollo. Still I'm sure I'll enjoy those launches just the same and hopefully get to see one
