I thinking of shooting video in 4k either with gopro 4 or panasonic. Will my clients even be able to enjoy that quality on their monitors, or even if uploaded to youtube, does the majority of phones and laptop able to see that quality anyway?

Yes your clients will need a 4k display to see the difference.

The value of 4k, IMO, is to be able to do sliding, zooming in and out shots etc.. once downsized to 1080.

very good point, using it for drone work, and that WOULD make a difference with the stills also right ?

What about fps? Some of the simple 60fps videos look amazingly real.

4k is a video standard not still

I think any decent camera can produce image resolution higher than 4k

4k has nothing to do with fps

however with high fps, like the 96fps on the gh4, means you can do smooth matrix style slow motion video, which IMO is valuable

go pro 4 is horrible with fps in 4k. if panasonic is at 96fps in 4k that is interesting.
