I lost it when he took a picture of the coffee cup and the pop up flash went off.

It's scary how I now think anything below a $1000 is cheap for a lens.

Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor...I am Pagliacci.” - Alan Moore

.

Related story to both this and the DR video.

last spring I was at a very popular location in my local National park, on a cool wet heavy over cast day. This spot has one of the most visited places in the park but is also quite shaded most of the time. There was a man shooting what looked to be a shinny brand new still has the plastic wrap smell, D7100 and getting mad at it because his pop up flash did not have enough ommph to reach the main objective and everything was coming out "weird" and grumbling to his wife about how he just bought this "expensive camera for this trip and its not working right"....

I take a couple of shots with my 6d and 24-104 and he asks me why my flash is not going off, so I inform him that my camera does not have a on board flash and that I was not carrying one because its day time and I rarely use one.. I get the I hope you didnt pay much for a camera with out a flash on it. I said nope its old and cheap thing I found at the good will. I wished him luck and happy shooting

The pop up flash is so annoying. How do you stop that from happening?

A drop of Crazy Glue works for me.

Ah, I didn't think about that. I went with 1D bodies. No pop up flash to deal with; albit a more expensive route
