I effed up my GoPro's USB port and I was just wondering if this looks like it could be soldered back onto the circuit board?

Thanks!

Worth a try. Solder it back on, slap on a bunch of epoxy to keep the port in place and see if it works. Be careful not to bridge any connections. They look quite small.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

From what I can see it's totally doable. Just need to straight out the bent surface mount pins and the mount for the connector that did come out that I assume is also bent. You're going to want to use a high quality soldering iron with the problem sized tips, if you don't have and use these tools you're probably better off having someone that does do it for you.

Yeah pretty easy fix if you have the right tools.

If it turns on and records video, I think you're better off leaving it broken and using it as-is. You don't need USB or HDMI to get the bulk of the features out of a GoPro. But one bridged solder joint and it could be garbage.

If it's anything older than a Hero 4, at least it's not a super expensive loss!

Use a heat sink to keep the iron from damaging anything nearby. Hot glue might be an alternative to the epoxy.
