I'm so impressed with the creativity and craftsmanship in this topic. Magnificent! Love the Nails and the Steam shots.

My approach was to shoot Sophie the dog with both super wide and telephoto lenses from about the same angle. Both are from this afternoon.

Thanks from the nails shooter!

Sophie looks quite at home near water.

Those are lovely shots, kb. I love her expression in the first and a beautiful profile in the second.

Thank you all very much for the comments. I agree that it can be a sad photo. But I took it to document the area before and after.

Today , we are on to a much lighter (pun intended) pair of photos. So many different shots I could post but this one fits this thread best from today. I went to a local airshow featuring airplanes from the WWll era. It is called Warbirds over Monroe.

Would you believe this little thing

Love the dog shots. Love the name Sophie too. I've always liked that name for some reason. If I had had a daughter she would be named so. :)

Cool shots, Pete. It must be absolutely freezing up there!! Brave girl.

That is perfect for this weeks theme, Pete. She looks really cold in the first picture, but I bet her adrenaline kicks in when she's in the air, keeping her from noticing the cold when flying. :)

Okay Levina, I'm waiting for you to pull something out of your hat this week. :)

Honestly? I've got nothing.
I've been crazy busy with a few different other things and simply didn't have the time. I did take a few snaps here and there and I will look at them later tonight or maybe tomorrow, see if there's something I can use. But whatever I choose, it's going to be nothing more than snaps. So no pulling things out of hats for me this week...

I am following the thread though and much enjoy everyone's contributions! It is so wonderful to see the different interpretations of a theme. That alone makes it worth while to be subscribed to this thread.
