I'm having trouble finding out how to buy an F-Stop bag here in the UK and am on the verge of giving up, so was wondering how other F-Stop buyers in the UK managed to get their bag.

I have e-mailed the UK stockist twice and had no reply, so that's a dead end at the moment. Then I tried the online shopping basket on the F-Stop site and got as far as the shipping quote, where it had every country in the world listed apart from the UK! What on earth is going on there then?

Also the US price worked out as a lot more than the UK stockist's price list, when taking into account duty and VAT, and even excluding the UK shipping cost that I couldn't find out. It was at least £35.00 more from my calculations (that's for a Satori EXP + Large Pro ICU).

So, how did you get your F-Stop bag?

Thanks,

Mike

I didn't know about them! I've just had a look and they seem to have them in stock.

Thanks!

Try contacting F Stop directly and ask them.

That would have been my last resort, but it's all okay now because I followed up Nellyle's suggestion and ended up ordering one from CVP.

For the price it had better be damned good when it gets here!

I originally thought Paramo were the only stockists. They had the bag I wanted but not the ICU and they couldn't give me any date for new stock. I passed and then by chance, happened across CVP. They had the bag and ICU and they were about 10% cheaper than Paramo. Just waiting for it to arrive now.

Yes, same here. A Google search for UK stockists has Paramo right up at the top, then there is another forum thread from 2012 where someone says that Paramo are the only UK stockist. That is obviously out of date, but you would have thought that more up-to-date information would be somewhere near the top of the search results.

Even this thread at 22 hours old is on the first page - at least on my search results!

Mike

I got my Tilopa and XL ICU from Paramo. Didn't know about CVP.
Paramo is cheaper. Have a look at their price list:

Loka is £210 including VAT at Paramo, I just paid £150 including VAT at CVP.

Jeff

PS Does anyone know if the Large Pro ICU is available anywhere. Both Paramo and CVP are out of stock.

They are showing as in stock on the F-Stop (US) website, but that doesn't really help us much over here. I hope this doesn't turn into one of the legendary tests of patience that seem to be associated with these products.

Incidentally I just went to buy a couple of sets of Gatekeeper straps via the Europe side of their website, but I abandoned that purchase when I got to the only postage 'option' which was fifteen euros! Fifteen euros to post two pairs of straps? I presume they send them on pallets or something. I'd rather go without for that price.

I got mine back in May 2011 and I just ordered from the F-stop website (I don't think they were available from anyone in the UK at that time).

For the record I got the Guru (Grey Mist, shame they stopped doing that colour imo), small pro ICU and rain cover and originally they came with 2 gatekeepers. With all that and including postage it cost me $200.25 which at that time worked out at £121.55.

Seems I did well to order back then from both a price point and colour point of view! I also personally like that one of the waist straps has a small zipped pocket on it rather than the webbing on both sides. I'd love to get a larger one at some point but the Guru is great for my needs and I highly recommend it.

My wife and I bought her Guru and my Loka through the fstop website. You can check local stock levels there. Delivery was pretty quick.

I gave up trying to get an answer out of CVP so I e-mailed F-Stop directly.

According to F-Stop themselves, the next stock is expected at their warehouse in mid-to-late December, then the regional stockists will get them after that. They did say hopefully it will be a bit earlier than that though.
