AHL Hockey - IceHogs v Monsters 10-26-14

First game wearing our 3rd/Alternate jerseys this season, which tend to show up a bit better against the ice. Also went on the ice after the game to shoot a post-game event. This event, "Skate with the 'Hogs" happens a few times every season, and this theme was for trick-or-treating. Anyone with skates could come out and get things signed by players, and could skate with them for 45 minutes. Got a few media-style shots and a few of the players posing and having fun.

Game shots used 1DX + 300 2.8mk2 and post-game with the 1DX + 70-200 2.8mk2 or 1DX+24-70 2.8mk2

our tier II juniors used to have these sort of things several times a year too...

the fans LOVED the chance to meet and greet and do a little skating. they usually coincided with specialty sweaters or poster nights...

even at the tier II junior level the youngsters are in such overwhelming awe of the players, theyre more fun to watch and shoot than the players...
