Does anyone know of any screw-on hard 77mm hoods? I've seen pro photojournalists using Nikon HN-28 for 70-200L, and I bought one lately, but for 16-35mm it's too long and even with 20D (1.6 factor) I can see it in corners on a wide end. I've looked through other Nikon hoods, but I didn't find a proper one, so mayby anyone knows about any other brands hoods, that would work?
I don't like original Canon hoods, cause they are too big (wide), take too much space in my bag :)

DON'T use screw-on hoods when you have the opportunity to fasten the hood to the body of the lens, especially for zoom lenses.

Why, you ask? It's simple. A lens hood WILL take a knocking around from time to time - that's what happens with cameras in the real world. If you slam a lens hood which is directly connected to the filter threads, you can damage internal parts of the lens, and that could get quite expensive to repair. It's far better for the force from those hits to be transferred to the body of the lens rather than the much more fragile inner works.

As for the camera bag "problem" - just get a bigger bag. I have no problem with several LARGE L zooms with their hoods in my Lowepro Stealth Reporter 650 AW.
