Has anyone here upgraded from the 30mm F1.4 to the art version? Was the improvement worth the loss you took from selling the existing copy of the lens?

I am also considering going to the sigma 35mm F1.4. Don't want to waste money but it does prep better if I want to go FF. I loved the Canon 35mm F1.4 when I had it.

Heya,

Going from 30 F1.4 to the ART is a waste of money in my opinion, you gain so little. Moving from the 30 F1.4 to the 35 F1.4 is a substantial upgrade in every way though.

Very best,

Very best,

Maybe my 30mm f1.4 non Art was special but I hardly saw any difference between it and the 35mm f1.4 Art and the 35L. Many 30mm f1.4 non Art do have focussing issues and I think having sigma dock compatibility with the Art version is a big plus.
