dgrPhotos Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 06, 2014 12:26 | #7 That would be as bad as Nikon with their 80-400 price tag. I'm hoping for $1899.

With the price of the sigma I could see this being in the $2200-$2500 range but much more then that would be out of my budget. They've got my attention. I want it. I would pay $2500 but I'm hoping less is more accurate. The more it costs, the longer before I save up for it, but I still want it. Unless someone from Canon is actually reading this then, "There is no way I would pay more than $1800 for it" Canon 7D/350D, Σ17-50/2.8 OS, 18-55IS, 24-105/4 L IS, Σ30/1.4 EX, 50/1.8, C50/1.4, 55-250IS, 60/2.8, 70-200/4 L IS, 85/1.8, 100/2.8 IS L, 135/2 L 580EX II, 430EX II * 2, 270EX II.

You either need 600, or you don't. ![]() Very best, The Tony Northrup video compared the Tammy 150-600 against the 400/5.6 with a 1.4 TC and the 400/5.6 still outresolved it. If you are going to be cropping either way, there is more to it than just focal length. I suspect the 100-400 II is going to be very sharp and in the same league as the 70-200/2.8 II.
