Nov 08, 2014 21:48 | #1 I figured it had been long enough for the major issues to be worked out, but I guessed wrong. Since "updating" to Yosemite 10.10, Lr 5.6 keeps freezing, and the laptop restarts itself. I have reinstalled Lr, and it seemed to make the issues go away but they are back tonight. Freezes on import, freezes in the develop module.

Nov 09, 2014 17:56 | #5 so, turns out my external HDD either was getting ready to go out, or the latest set of files were corrupted. I have a redundant back up thank god, but two days worth of files would lock up the system when I would try to copy them to a new location. Im not sure if corrupted files can do this, as I would just assume they would load all garbled into lightroom. Regardless of if its the files or the HDD, the SD card is getting retired and the HDD is getting replaced.
