OldCrow, John, Gene, Pete, OhLook, Sibil, Richard and Sibil again, great work!! Parallels really are everywhere and you all have captured some good ones.

Cool idea, Pete!

And Richard, that shot is odd indeed. It makes me cross-eyed! Or so it feels anyway, because you're forced to see something that can't be. Quite fascinating.

Thanks Levina. I started out with the idea of showing the parallel teeth on the clippers, then thought about adding the combs. As I was arranging items to shoot, I also happened to notice the bar code on the hair tonic.

And yes, I like the old fashioned men's grooming aides. :D

I'm surprised I haven't seen a white picket fence yet.

Yes, you'd swear those lines were diverging but dragging a pick-box over them indicates that they are indeed parallel! Had me fooled for a while!

I'll miss the last bit of this challenge and most of the next one. Going to Yosemite tomorrow, no Web access, have to run errands now.

Great posts, everyone. I don't have anything yet. I'm fighting a head cold and trying to get ready for a camping trip this weekend. Hopefully I get something over the weekend.

I hope you recovered, Stina! And are having a fun camping trip.

Thank you very much, Richard and Sibil. You're kind as always!!!

Eddie, thank you too. And to answer your question, I don't have a macro lens. I took the fork pics with a 50mm f/1.8 at minimum focus distance and cropped. The last one of the cooking spatula I took with the Tamron 75-250mm. A old MF lens (Adaptall II mount). This one wasn't cropped.

I really should buy a dedicated macro lens...

Nicely done, they look like macros. Ive always fancied a macro lens but have never purchased as not sure I would use it enough.
