You have to wait for Adobe to update their software.

In the mean time, you can use DPP to edit. Or even open in DPP, and convert them to another format (like TIFF) which Lightroom can read.

You can also download it from Canon's web site for the 7D2; it will prompt you for the camera's serial # before it will let you.

When my wife started using the 5D3 there was a program that would convert the raw files to DNG and she could then import the DNG files to edit in Lightroom. Not sure if that process would also work for 7D2 raw files.

That would be Adobe's DNG converter, which they provide so that users of earlier version of Lightroom/ACR can convert new RAW files their software doesn't support into DNG files for processing. Unfortunately Adobe have not yet issued an update for the DNG converter either, so that option isn't available yet.

Same thing happened when Nikon released the D810. Took a couple weeks for Adobe to update to be able to open their raw files.

I too did that for awhile after I got my 5D3.

I think Adobe may have been caught by surprise when the 7D2's shipped a monther earlier than the original projected date.

Argh, this may force me to shoot in jpeg mode this weekend. Noooooooo....

Dear Adobe, if you could release the new ACR with 7dm2 support by noon ET-ish, I'll appreciate it. :)
