I hope this works. Trying to post links.

OK, that didn't work. How do I post links to my photos on Dropbox so the photo shows up, not a link?

It's much easier than that:

Go to the file you want to post in Dropbox
Right-click on the file and select Copy Public URL
Go to your post on the site you wish to add the image to
Click the little, yellow image icon (looks like a mountain with a sun over it)
Paste the URL in the popup box
Click Ok
Finish your post and submit it

Paste the URL in the popup box
Click Ok
Finish your post and submit it

I just have my photos in a folder on dropbox. No "COPY PUBLIC URL" is in the right-click menu. I am trying to put these in a POTN post. Where is the mountain/sun thing?

When you reply, it's the fifth icon from the right in the second row. If you mouse over it, you'll see it'll say "Insert Image".

When using Dropbox, if you have photos you want to to be publicly available, you have to put them in the Public directory. That option for a public link won't be available from other areas/folders.

OK, here goes.
Well, that didn't work, either. There is

code, but nothing is showing up in the post.

I don't see a PUBLIC thing in Dropbox, either. I can paste the link here and that works just fine, but I wanted to link to the actual photo so I can use more than the 150K upload POTN limits us to. Am I thinking right, here? I can just put up 150Kb photos, I guess.

I just use the free version of Dropbox. Is 'Public' folders something you have to have a paid account for?

Try this:

And, when you copy the BBCode block out of that window, just paste it directly into the body of the post here.

Well, that was easy. But why is a 800 pixel wide photo showing up 1/2" wide?
