There was an incredibly bright and awesome -3.4mag ISS pass yesterday morning that also transited lunar ISS transit yesterday morning in Halfway, KY(about 20 miles from Bowling Green, KY).

First shot is from a 40D, Sigma 4.5mm fisheye, 48m(96*30s), f/2.8, ISO 800

Second is from a 7D, my father in law's Sigma 150-500+1.4x, f/8, 1/1000s, ISO 250. Timing was controlled with a Linux shell script and a Triggertrap hooked to my laptop.

I should have followed my own advice and went with 1/1600s and ISO 400. Every single time I lower it I'm disappointed with results.

Thanks for looking,
Aaron

There we go!! I had to figure out what I was looking at in the second. Took me a sec. Very cool shots indeed!! The two different perspectives are great!

Thanks everyone!

Going to geek out here for a sec... I made some modifications to my process of a timed shutter release(Original thread here. Before I was using Apple's "launchd", but after some human error on my part I switched to 'cron' on Linux. I'm very happy to report that it went off exactly as planned at 05:17:46 and filled the buffer on my 7D a time or two in that 19s
