Hey guys. I have a 6D and wanted to ask you what might be the best/cheapest option to bring my camera to exposures of 30+ seconds?
Bulb and holding the shutter for free is not an option :P

But the problem is, touching the camera to end the exposure will shake it no matter how delicate you are. So obviously, as you stated, this is not an option. So the cheap option that works well, is an inexpensive third party intervalometer and a set of AAA batteries. I purchased this a while ago. No problems. Best $10.00 I spent.

Works great and dose the job just fine for me, more money for glass or a good tripod and head that way.

Feb 19, 2015 21:53 | #14 I just found a new Android app Slingshot DSLR for the 6D, well worth the $9.99. I tried DSLR controller and Canon EOS Remote, compared to slingshot they stink. I was having multiple WIFI connection problems. Slingshot connects every time with no delay. I am going to try it the next time I am shooting the stars. I am even thinking of using it instead of my intervalometer/remote release.
