I just got my 7D Mark II and am disappointed to see that its RAW images are incompatible with Canon's own Digital Photo Professional.

I am using DPP version 3.7.1. Oddly enough, the EOS Digital Solutions disk that comes with the camera contains DPP version 3.14. AND... my iMac (which was perfectly compatible with version 3.7.1) isn't good enough to load version 3.14.

Anyone else have this problem?

Find an explanation or solution?

Are you using the Yosemite OS?

No, I am not. I got burned after "upgrading" to Mavericks and decided to wait on Yosemite.

You will need 3.14 or 4.0 to use DPP with the 7D2. You will most likely need the last and great OS or the iteration before it for DPP.

Checked out the requirements and you will need 10.8 or 10.9 to run either version of DPP. I strongly suggest updating DPP to the most recent version as they seem to be making minor tweaks that fix little bugs. The most recent versions are 3.14.45 and 4.1.1 for PC. For Macs the version should be somewhere close to that. Just go to Canon's site and to the 7D2 page and then to the programs page or whatever they call it.

Mavericks should work with the latest versions of DPP, they have not been updated yet for Yosemite.

Thanks for your help, guys. I managed to upgrade DPP to current version, and it recognizes RAW files from 7D Mark II.
