Digital Projector display - do you do anything special to your photos?

So quick question as I've never done it before and won't have a chance to trial and error things. Has anyone here done projector display of digital photos on a digital projector and if so what did you do to prepare your shots? Any differences to how you typically prepare them for web display?


As I said I won't have any trial and error time nor practice time nor calibration setup so I won't be able to test and tweak as needed on the day. So just some rough and ready tips.

I didn't do anything special to the photos, but it did take me a while to tweak the color and brightness settings on the projector until I was happy.

Thanks Maverick! I don't know if I'll be able to have time to tweak things sadly (and thep rojector is up in the air so chances are any of the manual buttons are out of reach) .

Do you at least know the resolution that the projector will be using? If so I would resize and sharpen to suit the resolution. Secondly will you be using your own computer attached to the projector, so that you have control of the application displaying the images? Or will you just be plugging in a memory stick to their computer? If the latter then I would suggest that as well as the first suggestion that you make the images sRGB JPEGs at Q10/80. That should give you reasonably sized files, without visible compression artifacts. If you will be using your own computer/software at least you will be able to try that out in advance, even if it is at a different screen resolution.
