Hi folks.
I have a stealth reporter by Lowepro and the shoulder strap is starting to disintegrate.
The bag is just fine, though.
So I was looking for just a simple replacement strap and I was surprised when it wasn't as easy as it sounds.... (no strap on B&H...and the other lowepro straps vis a vis Google are "not available" and it seems for a while now)
Do I have to buy a whole new bag to get an original Lowepro strap?
Does anyone know of a different company who would make a comfortable very padded shoulder strap?

Thanks

Entirely my own fault, I broke the metal 'lobster claw' clip on one of my straps on a Stealth Reporter D550AW. Contacted the UK distributors to buy a replacement clip or a new strap - they sent me a replacement strap f.o.c, saying it was Lowepro policy. No "Send us the faulty item and we'll check it", no "you broke it, you fix it - ain't life tough" just a very simple "Oh dear, what's the address and we'll send you one".

I know your location is different but you mught try contacting your local distributor to see what they say.

Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!

Contact Lowepro by email and explain the issue. They are quite good about helping customers and will likely assist you directly or through a distributor in your country.

Just wanted to update the thread I started.

I heeded the advice here and returned to retailer that I purchased the bag from.
I didnt have a proof of purchase, but they sent the bag to Lowepro (they said they couldn't send just the strap)
and after 3 weeks - I got the bag back with a brand new strap!!
free of charge!!!

Thanks all here for reminding me of the lifetime warantee
but...it worked! :)

I guess it is yet another justification for my lowepro purchases (I have a lot of their stuff)

Thanks all
