Hi guys, it's been long since I've posted here!

Anyways, I own quite a lot of bags:

IMAGE: http://scontent-b.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xfp1/t51.2885-15/10523280_626395020801094_1106521750_n.jpg

However, I think I should clean up some of them that I haven't been using much recently, so I want to combine / replace my Think Tank Photo Shapeshifter and Streetwalker.

Killing the Shapeshifter makes sense because the only time I've ever used the shapeshifting ability is for storage, and I prefer to have more padding everywhere for my gear. For the streetwalker, it's only because I rarely bring out just a kit that can fit inside that (or I'd pick my domkes).

Now the question I have for y'all is whether the TTP Airport Essentials will fit the bill? I just need a bag that can support a 13" laptop, max 70-200 (or maybe 120-300). Perhaps the Sony PXW FS7 camcorder packed down.

The only issue is that sometimes I use a grip on my 5D3. If I place it in the middle of the bag without any lenses attached, d'you guys think I can fit it in?

TTP states internal height to be 127mm. 5D3 turned sideways is 152mm. That's only about 2.5cm diff. Possible?

The Glass Taxi (the only "taxi" bag I know of) doesn't fit a 13" laptop...

Reviews of the Airport Essentials aren't as common as any of the other sizes, which is why I made sure to test-fit my kit before sinking what seemed an insane amount of money to support my GAS with it.

I fit a 6D gripped in the middle, while it does fit you do notice it is a little stiffer to zip around.
Will definitely fit a 70-200 with hood reversed & collar, I don't think the Sigma will fit.

Happy to take pictures/answer questions you have about it.

I have the Airport Essentials. It's an excellent bag with enough room for gear that it can become uncomfortably heavy on your back. Mine is generally 20 pounds (not bad) to 28 pounds (heavy!) when loaded out.

Here's what's in mine right now:

Center column: 5D2 with 16-35 f/4 attached, 70-200 f/2.8
Left column: 24mm TSE, 50mm f/1.4, 4 flash triggers, 4 77mm filters in hard cases
Right column: 580EX, 430EX, 1.4x TC, 24-105, hoods for all zooms, small flashlight, leatherman

Top compartment: 13" Macbook Pro in the laptop section, small Wacom tablet in the iPad section.

The Essentials has plenty enough room that you could take the grip off of your camera and store it separately. You will need to get the next size up (Commuter) if you want to keep the grip attached.

Here are some shots of the Essentials with a variety of stuff in it:
