I saw this on Flipboard and thought to share. Sure seems very intuitive, simple and the 8 year battery life alone makes it worthy to consider.

I am wondering what am I missing on doing time lapse videos with an action cam such as go pro and a 16000mah power bank. My action cam battery is only 1100mah and it lasts 1.5hr on continuous shooting. In theory I can get over 21hr of shooting when attached to a powerbank, and it costs < 40 on amazon.

The battery life is that of the Pico device, not the camera or the smartphone you use for the (optional) timelapse setup app.

Heya,

Weird, a simple intervalometer does this, and is completely programmable to, for $15.

Not sure I understand the point, other than the app feature and using it on a phone etc, but that just makes your intervalometer (you already own one, you're interested in long exposure and/or time lapse clearly) kind of ... well, why have both?

Very best,

I use this. Works flawlessly for what I want it to do. http://dslrcontroller.com/about.php (external link)

There are alot of things on kickstarter that are just rehashed versions of things already out in the marketplace. Sometimes there are very unique solutions there, but it seems that kickstarter has become a source to start something "new" that is an altered version of something old.

The only unique thing I saw there was the ramping option to speed up the shots near the end of the shoot. And it is indeed quite small as compared to the wired or wireless intervalometers.
