Snowy owl is almost extinct in Finland because its been persecuted in the past. According to the folklore snowy owl is Laplands witch in disguise. In Finland snowy owls are extremely rare (around 50 of them left in whole country) and today I finally found one.

Here is couple shots with 1D3 / sigma 120-300 + 1.4x tc.

Congratulations on the find. Great captures, The conversion works well on all three. Being said, I still would like to see the color versions.

Well I hope they are being well protected now. A good set of shots, I would like to see the colour version too.
