One thing is for sure. Its a lot more complicated AF system. So even people that have a lot of experience with Canon AF systems ( Like me) are going to have to go through a bigger learning curve to really dial this body in. I cant image what someone new to it is gonna have to go through. So I can see why all the problems with my 7d2 af system threads will be cropping up.

Thats why i started this thread.

Sure. It seems very similar to the 1DX, and that's for sure quite a bit up for those used to a 650D or so.

I came across this evening. Looks like you can see which AF points are active in AI Servo.

PHOTOBUCKET EMBEDDING IS DISABLED BY THIS MEMBER.
Photobucket sends ads instead of embedding photos from their free galleries.

Very similar to what you can do with the 1DX. It has two different intensity levels for Servo AF, that's the only difference.

Im going out Thursday with a guide to photograph some Eagles. Cant wait to try out these settings.

I was out last Saturday. There was probably between 20-30 on the opposite river bank. And maybe 50 sitting up in the trees. They all left by 12:30, as an FYI.

I had a reservation with that same company do a boat trip, but it got cancelled due to flood conditions. So I went up there anyway and shot from my usual spot. Have fun.

Lenses: Canon 100-400 II, Tamron 28-300, Tamron 18-270, Sigma 150-500, Canon 50, Sigma 28, Sigma 2X TC
