That sure is a lot of really small but very capable pixels!

If thats what they are planning for the cell phone sensors, what do they have in plan for the slr/mirroless crowd? Maybe Sony should just go full forward with medium or larger sensors and build their niche and lens lineup there?

For all their (Sony) money troubles, it certainly doesn't affect their R&D's departmental smarts. Nice job, Sony! Innovate or die.

Yeah they Definatly need to build their lens lineup. I'd really like to buy an A6000 but the lenses that are available stinks!!!

Or just forget about lenses and concentrate on what they're good at - electronics.

Make it capable of autofocusing any lens you put on it, then profit off everyone else's lens lineups while delivering the best possible body (or at least sensor).

After all, Sigma and others have already reverse-engineered the lens mounts for every major manufacturer - instead of third-party lenses, why not third-party bodies? Just like medium format, where you can be using a Rodenstock lens on an Alpa body in front of a Phase One back containing a Sony sensor...

I'm curious, why the hate for their bodies? because I gained these with my Sony:

WiFi
GPS
Tilt Screen
In Body IS
HDR
Panoramic Shooting
Focus peeking etc...

All things Canon don't do.
