Shot with Alienbee with umbrella, a speed light kicker, 5dm2 and 70-200. This is just one of the looks we tried I have more but I figured Id start semi-simple.

Do I need more PP? Skin softening?

C and C welcome. Thanks

Before the shoot she said she was looking for "dramatic", "edgy" and "feminine"

Just curious - is the top-edge of the underwear intentional, an oversight, or an acceptable accident?

I did notice that. Is it acceptable? I didn't think it was that big of a deal.

Acceptable is subjective when it comes to shooting fashion. I think "intentional" is the best term to use in this case. To me, the little sliver of underwear disrupts your story. I would have either exposed it more or cloned it out. With this set, I would lean more to the latter.

For an edgier look, use one light source and let the shadows add some drama. The more mystery, the better. Allow the light to fall off subject and and allow the seamless to have a gradient rather than flattening it. Your model is great, have her tell the story with her body and facial expressions. That will add the feminine element and will pair nicely with the edgier light.

Good job!
