I mounted mine for the first time today and took a couple of test shots. The bokeh is awesome and I got an awesome deal on the lens too. Can't wait to try out some more serious stuff with it. Looks like we both picked up the 85 1.8 recently. I have to get cracking with that one too. I also wanted to ask where you got the Canadian in these shots Sometimes not taking a photograph can be as problematic as taking one. - Alex Webb

Yeah, when he showed up with that took on I was like "What a hoser." Yes, the 85 1.8 is new as well. Quite the dynamic duo. You get a hood for the 85? I've been practicing it a fair bit lately. Overall, I love the fact of being able to choose both the wide field of view and compressed background. So I guess what I really want is a medium format. If only I could afford one...

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.
