Hi everyone!
I had the 135L for a moment, my biggest mistake was to sell it! I miss his beautiful bokeh so much! :( Now I have the 6D instead of the 5D2, do you guys think it will work fine on it, or it better for me to wait more few months so I can save some money and grab the 85L? Thank you in advance for your advices.

no matter what FF body do you use (except 5DS maybe).

difference between 135 and 85l in focal length and speed. 85mm is more useful (handy, user-friendly :) ) for portraits I think, but 135 its a tele-lens, its sharper, more contrast, low CA and you can add extender to 135. Plus, 85L cutting the bokeh disks, for me its looks pretty strange...
So, think about what you shot and choice a lens.

When I shot 1 person - 135 is good enough, but when I need to shot a couple (love-story for ex.) - 135 is hard to use for me, but someone still use it with pleasure for this task. :)

Sorry for my Eng.

Both are full frame bodies, you will see no change.

imo 70-200 IS f2.8 II

Many good portrait photographers used it. On 200mm 2.8 its very good and just one lens in the bag for 2 tasks.
135 isn't sport lens (with 1.4x extender you have 189mm f2.8, but its not a flexible way), and 135 totally not for indoor portraits.

Yeah not a sport lens in the first place but since the AF is quite fast and sometimes I'm very far from the stage, the 135 help alot.
Not indoor at all instead, I meant low light, like church etc... This kind of indoor, very big indoor, in my appartment it was a nightmare haha. Sorry my english is not that good.

I love last picture you posted by the way! Incredible composition! BRAVO!

There are no issues with using the 135 for sports, action and concert photography. I use mine for all that and muich more on cropsensor cameras with great results all the time. I rather use the 135 than my 70-200 to be honest, i'm quite bored with the shots coming from the 70-200 since every other photographer uses it. But few use fast long primes like the 135 as it's more challenging to get great shots than it is with a zoom lens.

I enjoy the challenge because great shots don't come easy. ;)

Agree! And even if the 70-200 looks great, it's way way to big for me! I think I'm gonna take the 85L because I do portraits at 90% of the time. My only scared is about the AF, I read alot of comments saying it's really hard to have a right focus when it's wide open and it's also really slow! It's the same thing if you shooting at 1.8? I also hope they won't announced a 85L III after I bought mine ugh! Otherwise the II version price will drop after I bought mine!

Many people shot with 85 and haven't problems with AF.

I want 85L too and I'll buy it soon, but I do not sell my 135 :)))
I think, 85 only for portraits wide open, nothing more. Bokehbokehbokeh :-)))

I'm crazy and obsessed with the bokeh too! :p
About the AF, yeah you are right. And even if it's a little bit less fast than some others, after few weeks I guess I will be use to it like any owner of the keg!
But they better don't announced a new 85L after I bought mine!!!

oh, Canon set the price on new lenses like a crazy alien from outside world, so I even don't think about new version, its not acceptable for me.
My friend always says: "old good thing cannot going to be bad, when new one come to this world".
85L is a superb portrait lens, like and 135L.
