Thank you !

Yes, and the spider photo was good as well. Glad to see a 5D still strutting it's stuff all these years later!

Still learning to shoot with this lens on a regular basis...
My 5 year old has developed a fascination/obsession with American Ninja Warrior...in May she couldn't even hold herself up on the monkey bars...now she flies across them and today did these new ones that you have to slide one side then the other along a rail...very ANW...

were both of these shot at f/2? I noticed it today shooting that sometimes the background gets really nice and soft like #2, and others its more like #1 with bokeh that has a spirally quality to it...trying to figure out what makes one and the other...I realize that shooting closer to the subject with the background further behind aids in nuking the background...but these two look like similar distance to subject and background...

I find the bokeh at f/5.6 to be particularly pleasing with this lens when you don't want f/2 super smooth Errol Brown bokeh.

I am afraid I don't know that reference...

Without wishing to go off topic too much, and assuming you refer to 'Errol Brown, he was the lead singer of Hot Chocolate with a voice and demeanor epitomising 'smooth'.
