Thanks, we spent an hour looking for that pink background, and then I had to lay down completely as the flowers were too high, you can see the angle and that I tilted the camera too

Snow Capped Urban Jungle...

IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/23QzeWh (external link) Snow Capped Urban Jungle - tagged (external link) by Air Butchie (external link), on Flickr

After a good drenching of rain/snow a few days ago, a picturesque scene could be had at this local Los Angeles spot; Kenneth Hahn Park... It was a cold, relatively clear, early morning and I knew that the storm that passed had put several feet of new snow on the San Gabriel Mountains... Add the scenic downtown LA skyline in the foreground and you can surely bet you can capture something wonderfully... There was some 'morning atmospheric dew' in-between the mountains and the skyline, but I think that added some depth to the overall capture... 1DX + 135L + Lee 105mm CPL filter + Lee 0.6 and 0.9 Soft Edge GND Filter (stacked)... ISO 100, f/11 @ 1/5sec exposure...

Absolutely beautiful shot. Perfect timing.

Awesome shot! Quick question, how did you manage to get so much depth of field at f/2?

CC always welcome.

Thx Rhody... They were roughly about 150 feet in front of my viewpoint from the media pit... And they were stacked pretty close to one another, so at f/2 the DOF is minimal... Hope that made sense...

:)
