[QUOTE=hoaindao;17520632]Awesome shots Expo! Like you, my only model is my daughter. She doesn't take direction as good as your daughter though! =)

Gotta love this lens!

but she is gorgeous! My kiddos are totally camera shy, no hope :(

What a cutey! Lol, ya my daughter is 2.5 and she doesn't take instruction too incredibly well yet... The posing she did herself and all I ask her is sit here or stand there and the moment I back away with my camera she left the spot... I just have to get her to do it repeatedly until I walk away with something...

A shot I took at the Cambodian New Year's Parade that was held here in Long Beach recently.

Thanks! I love how this lens so easily neutralises a busy background.

I was shooting a field of bluebonnets and suddenly a lady appeared with her daughter. I asked if I may take a shot of the girl and she agreed. The light was super harsh and I didn't have anything with me but my camera. The girl just sat and looked without posing...I snapped and here it is. I really wish it was better :)

It's a great shot. Can I ask if you did any post work to it? I hope you don't mind the CC, because I really mean it...it has the potential to be a 10 star shot with that pose and background, but just needs a little love in post. All just my opinion of course. Keep up the good work.

Thank you; I don't mind at all. I did a lot of post work on the girls face where she had spots with blown out highlight. Frequency separation with a lot of hair removal and painting over the blown out areas and cropping. Funny thing is she didn't pose at all, I had 2 seconds to snap, here is the SOOC just reduced to fit this forum. Her face looks somewhat dirty, I didn't fiddle with it at all; spent maybe 10 minutes :)

After seeing the harsh lighting original you had to work with, I'd say you did a pretty d@m fine job! It's a great shot
