After seeing the harsh lighting original you had to work with, I'd say you did a pretty d@m fine job! It's a great shot

Thank you :) I may work more to even out her skin tone...will see :)

I got attacked by one of these lenses today.

Strangest thing...

I was minding my own business when one jumped at me - practically out of nowhere - and it began to tell me its life story: born in 2012, raised by one family, in a loving home, and then, he was abruptly abandoned! I was feeling sorry for the little guy until I realised he'd stolen my walet to pay his debt to the camera store we were in. At that point I tried to leave immediately, but the little bugger followed me home.

Somehow, he got hooked up with my camera and I can't seem to get him off!

Luckily, he seems to be a hard worker who can carry his own weight...

Time will tell.

Had this lens for a couple of weeks now as a prime I have been on a steep learning curve but very satisfying. I visited the local forest stage rally first using the lens on my 5Dc and the 135 as I wanted to see if we could get some usable images. Quickly realised that and 5dc and rally sport are hard work! (moved onto my 7d and 70-30 usm L to photograph this event) but here's a couple from the event. Wont win any awards but the whole point was to understand how to maximise the lens usage.
