Nice shots of very unusual poses.

If you are going to comment on a chain like this it might b3 helpful to quote the image so the group can see what you are talking about without backtracking each comment

I didn't mean to like your post. Was going to say what Beano said, there is a link. But in all fairness he probably could have combined all his comments into one post : )

I think what gonzogolf is trying to point out is if you click QUOTE then a thumbnail is shown on the post and provides a visual reference for others reading. Clicking REPLY shows a link of the post only. ;-)a

When I click on the link in his post, it jumps me right to the picture he's commenting on. I mean yeah, I get it that quoting so the image shows provides more of an immediate visual reference....but when he's commenting on 10 different pictures in a row I think he's actually being considerate by not reposting all the pictures : )

meh, when I see a string of posts like this I simply scroll on past them figuring there's nothing there that I want to see...and usually it is as majix mentioned above and the poster is upping his post-count. flyingphoto, I'm not insinuating that's what you were doing, but just stating what it usually ends up being about. People are different you know and they have reasons for doing things...

I am much more subject to pause and read a comment if the thumbnail link to the image is there for me to click. on. But, for a simple "That's nice" comment...even if it has a thumbnail I pass on by it 99.999% of the time. But, for the person who posted the image that is being commented on it's nice to see appreciation by someone commenting on it. No harm, no foul.

But, I do pay more attention to comments with thumbnails? Why? Both ways to see the images only take two clicks of the mouse to go to the image and return to the current message. You do have to move the mouse more if no thumbnail is available (careful, don't injure yourself! ). Clicking on the thumbnail is just a bit faster in regards to the time to view the image and return to the message. Let's face it, we live in the microwave oven culture...who wants to wait longer than they have to? The bigger thing for me is that clicking on a thumbnail carries you directly to the uncluttered, gray matted image whereas the text link carries you to the post that contains the image and the clutter surrounding it. The thumbnail link gives you a nice, clean view of the commented-on image.

Ed

+1.
As soon as I see 10 replies in a row I honstly can't even be bothered to start clicking to try and follow what's going on. Personally I much prefer when people quote as you can instantly see what's going on

I keep getting notifications that this thread has posts, and then get disappointed that there's no photos for a whole page. We should probably get back to it!

He just did the same thing to another thread

:-( roughly 90% of his 100+ posts have been made in the last nine days. Yet, he's been a member since 2008.

flyingphoto, what's up?

ETA: Sorry about the OT post...this is my last one.

I will say, though, that ya'll are killing me with these pictures...I'm still in the woes of lens-decision and another one has now entered the fray...four contenders right now. The 135L was the first one considered and is still highly considered. Could someone please post some BAD photos from this lens? ;-)a
